Gunma farmer Nakajo-san emphasizes the beauty of good, quality food inside and out with her carefully raised paprika, which we've taken the liberty of using to dish up a colorful amalgamation lovely peppers cooked through a variety of methods. Together with lively sea bass from the clean currents surrounding Iwaki Island, this one is unforgettable.
●Chilled Amazake and Daisen Chicken Nabe ¥1,920
A chilled 'nabe' soup crafted from sweet, nutrient-rich amazake and piled high with bean sprouts, long green scallions, leafy mizuna and other crispy vegetables. The hearty helping of the renowned Daisen Chicken gives it hearty and satisfying substance with the power to kick any summer fatigue.

It's not summer without a BBQ! And the sweet, caringly-raised Yancha Pork from Kurosawa Farm in Ibaraki together with summer vegetable skewers makes for the ideal summer pairing. A name so synonymous with quality it requires no introduction, this Miyaji-brand pork roast has been carefully raised and prepared entirely free of any unnatural additives. Top-grade, all-natural koji is then used to pickle and draw out the rich flavors inherent in this juicy, Kanagawa-raised roast, with lemon and salt to garnish.

● Edo Era Irizake-accented Conger Eel Rice

Seasonal conger eel cooked up in our custom-made arita-yaki eartherware pots together with carefully selected rice from one of our partnering farmers. The secret sauce, you ask? That would be the 'irizake,' a traditional flavoring dating back hundreds of years, made from sour 'ume' plum cooked down in a small serving of sake, which we've added to the cooking concoction together with the eel and rice. You won't find one like this anywhere. Welcome to summer at Nouen.

Hand-picked olives fresh from Souju' s Majima-san in Takamatsu (Kagawa Prefecture) carefully salt-pickled and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil - a snack created to keep the wine flowing.

● Mizuki-san's Fresh Apple Sorbet ¥380
Made from 100% fresh-squeezed apple juice directly from Mizuki-san's orchard in Aomori Prefecture, these ripe, luscious apples are slowly simmered for three days before being turned into a mouth-watering and refreshing sorbet - an all-natural,
unforgettable autumn treat.

An adorably lively dessert consisting of watermelon sherbert topped with a miniature watermelon-based jelly 'yokan'.

Loads of fresh blueberries from Sun Farm Yoshida in Iwate Prefecture transformed into a sangria sauce drizzled atop fromage blanc and homemade blueberry ice cream. Exquisite.
